Shoes


Drawn here are some of the many kinds of shoes and boots typical of those worn by soldiers.  As with hats, there are far too many variations to list and fashions remained in use for many years.  Generally the rougher the occupation the stouter the shoe and the less pointed the toe.

If this is too ambitious there are a number of machine made alternatives that start at around £40 per pair and can go up into the hundreds for a hand made pair.
