Competitions
Companions competitions have been running for some time.  As new competitions develop and the original competitions become more establish it has been decided that dedicated web pages were now required to this important feature of the clubs activities.

All competitions are to be concluded in time for trophy presentation at our annual banquet which has now moved to September.

Companions Trophy:
The Trophy competition is a competition that runs throughout the year and is run by the Chairman of the club.  The 26 week competition has at time been condensed in to less weeks as time and conditions dictate.  The purpose is to qualify by scoring sufficient points.  80 points qualify for the final.  Each game establishes the first 5 archers who will receive points from 10 through to 2.  After qualification a final competitive series of games for the qualify will establish the overall winner.

Medieval Marks:
Run by Nigel Packwood, this is a very traditional challenge converted to a competition which will run for a number of months in the summer.  The objective it to shoot medieval style at marks.  Scoring and competition rules to be established.

Woodland Competition:
Every 6 weeks the companions shoot in the woodland 24 3D targets and the average score is calculated.  The archer with the highest score will win the Woodland Cup.  The competition started in 2010 will conclude in December.  New rules are to be applied where the competition is solely for Longbow archers.  Archers score obtained with Bows other than the Longbow will not count.

President Shield:
The President Shield is a one day multi-challenge competition.  The President organises and runs the competition.  Medieval style shooting is a must and the Longbow is essential in order to score
